    A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder, over a homicide in Wellsford, north of Auckland


    The man was located by Police yesterday -- following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Zane Smith in Wellsford on Saturday.

    He's due to appear in North Shore District Court this morning,

    Detective Inspector Scott Beard says a team of detectives has been working around the clock on the case.

    Police are appealing for sightings of a a black 2005 Ford Falcon saloon - with the registration number CTS862 -- which was seen in Pakuranga on Sunday morning.

    They're also looking for the firearm used in the incident -- believed to be a rifle.
