Australian police are uncovering details about two near-identical assaults on men in Canberra

Australian police are uncovering details about two near-identical assaults on men in Canberra

The first victim was allegedly lured to a home on July 16 - for a date - and jumped by four men.

Four days later, a second victim was allegedly assaulted by seven or eight men outside a house where he'd agreed to meet a person through a dating app.

Australia correspondent Donna Demaio says Police are investigating for links.

She says some homophobic slurs were reportedly used - so it does seem targeted and premeditated.
