Concerns from Labour, for Christchurch homeowners affected by a new Government rule change

Concerns from Labour, for Christchurch homeowners affected by a new Government rule change

The Government's tightening up criteria and timeframes for the On Sold Support scheme, which was made to get people back into quake-damaged homes.

The scheme aims to aid homeowners who bought a repaired home after the Canterbury earthquakes, but were found to be inadequate.

Labour's Duncan Webb -- the MP for Christchurch Central -- says the changes have been made just to save money.

He says the Natural Hazards Commission should be paying for the situation they've created.
