Cystic Fibrosis NZ say funding the drug Trikafta for young children would be a smart decision for Pharmac

Cystic Fibrosis NZ say funding the drug Trikafta for young children would be a smart decision for Pharmac

Its Respiratory Advisory Committee has recommended funding with high priority for children aged two to five years.

The medicine is currently only funded for ages six and up

Cystic Fibrosis NZ CEO Lisa Burns says it's not a cost, it's an investment.

She says they're looking for prioritisation from Pharmac to get it funded as soon as possible.
