Transpower's dispelling worries Kiwis might not have enough power next winter

Transpower's dispelling worries Kiwis might not have enough power next winter

Gas supplies are down - meaning we'll need to rely more on electricity, for longer.

A Transpower report shows an increase in newly commissioned power generation compared to last year.

Transpower's James Kilty says if we keep up the pace on new infrastructure, we'll be fine.

He says gas supply's declined quicker than expected, so electrical companies need to keep the foot on the pedal for projects and investment.
