Inflation's up again, but not as high as some economists feared

Inflation's up again, but not as high as some economists feared

Latest Stats NZ figures show the rate reached 2.7 percent in the year to June -- up from 2.5 percent to March.

    But domestically-driven non-tradeable inflation dropped, from 4-percent to 3.7.

The Herald's Liam Dann says these numbers will provide a little bit of comfort to the Reserve Bank, as it tries to bring down interest rates to get the economy going again.
