George Clooney is no longer in a "rush to succeed"

The 64-year-old actor feels he's already "had [his] career in many ways" and he's now happy to put his family before his own interests and ambitions in the movie business.

The Hollywood star - who has eight-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with his wife Amal - told Extra: "I'm not in that mass rush to succeed anymore.

"I've had my career in many ways and you know things were winding down in a way, so I get to be home with my kids a lot and it's fun. I'm still young enough that I can run around with them. That's going away quickly, but I can still do it right now."

George and Amal recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, and the actor revealed how they marked the occasion.

He shared: "We had a nice dinner night before last."

Asked what the next 11 years will look like for the couple, George replied: "Mostly be me gumming bread because I'm 64, so I'll be 75."

Meanwhile, George recently claimed that he's been the "recipient of a lot of luck" in his life.

The actor believes he's received a lot of good luck - but George also thinks that he's created the "opportunity for luck".

He told AARP: "I think the only life lesson is to bet on yourself. And when there's opportunities, you gotta go.

"In my life, I have been the recipient of a lot of luck. But I also believe you create opportunity for luck. You create enough opportunity and, every once in a while, you'll hit one."

George also strives to live a "really full life", instead of worrying about potential problems.

The movie star said: "There's no rhyme or reason for who gets to age and who doesn't. So you should live as if you're not going to get to. And then, if you wake up one day and you're old, you've lived a really full life."
