Fewer New Zealanders are visiting GPs - with thousands reporting drawn-out wait times

The 2024/25 New Zealand Health Survey looks into outcomes across smoking, nutrition, and mental health.
It shows 73.2-percent of adults visited a GP in the past year - down from 78-percent seven years ago.
One-in-five say the length of time before an appointment was a barrier, almost doubling those finding it an issue the year before.
