Meghan Trainor has hit back at people who have "attacked" her over her recent weight loss

The 31-year-old singer admitted earlier this year she had turned to weight-loss jab Mounjaro in a bid to shed some pounds, and while she has "never felt better" and thinks she looks "incredible", Made You Look hitmaker is surprised to have been slammed by some.

Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, she said: "The world's getting crazier and meaner and they're louder.

"I'm literally for the first time ever, after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level and I've never felt better and I look incredible.

I feel great, and that's when people attack me? I was like, what?"

Meghan insisted she is "taking care" of herself and is trying to ignore any criticism around her lifestyle decisions.

She added: "I'm taking care of myself.

"I have to find a way to not be affected by that."

In April, Meghan told how she felt "no shame" over using weight-loss medication after she and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, both turned to Mounjaro - a prescription medication typically used to treat type 2 diabetes.

The All About That Bass hitmaker - who married Daryl in 2018 - said on the Workin' On It podcast: "We heard more and more of our friends - and even our doctors - were on Mounjaro and Ozempic."

The singer and Daryl decided to try the medication after learning that it has "less side effects" than other weight-loss drugs.

Meghan joked: "Daryl and I both do everything together."

Despite this, Meghan stressed that it wasn't an easy fix, explaining that she still needed to work hard in the gym to lose weight.

She said: "We were like, 'We have to make sure we don't lose muscle that we worked so hard gaining all those years'. We stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry."
