Australian Matildas coach Joe Montemurro is staying tight-lipped on whether striker Sam Kerr will feature in tonight's first friendly against the Football Ferns at Gosford

The Chelsea forward is on a restricted training load, having only returned in September after a serious knee injury that sidelined her for 20 months.

Montemurro will continue to monitor Kerr in the lead-up to the New Zealand clash.



Football Ferns coach Michael Mayne says talks about Kerr have been kept to a minimum in camp, but believes his side are ready for the striker if she opts to play.



Kickoff is set for 9.30pm.
