A Christchurch dairy's closed for the day, after its owner was seriously assaulted during a burglary this morning

When Police arrived about 7am, the offenders had already fled in a vehicle.

The owner was left with moderate injuries.

His wife tells our newsroom it's not the first time something like this has happened.
