The All Blacks will find out their pool stage opponents at the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia later tonight
3 December 2025
It's the first tournament to have 24 teams - with six pools of four.
The All Blacks - along with the other top six sides in the world - are in band 1 and are protected from meeting any other side in that group.
Those top tier teams will face a band two side - notions ranked 7 to 12 in the world, another from band three, 13 to18 in the world, and then one more from the teams 19 and below.
Host nation Australia - in band two - will be automatically placed in Pool A and a blockbuster trans-Tasman meeting for the first time in World Cup pool play is a possibility.
The draw is underway from 10pm.
