    Kiwi pop band Drax Project started off 2026 with a car crash, in the Coromandel


    The group say they were driving out of Waihi Beach at around 3am yesterday, before turning a corner to an oncoming-driver in their lane.

    The musicians say they swerved off-road, but didn't sustain injuries.

    They say they missed a pole, and landed in a ditch.
