The Government says it wants to dots its I's and cross its T's with the roll-out of "open electricity"

New rules would allow for greater data-sharing between electricity users and providers.
Energy Minister Simon Watts says regulations should be in place by the middle of this year, and households and businesses should be able to take advantage of the new system by early next year.
He says they want to learn lessons from the roll-out of "open banking" and ensure they get things right.
Watts says this change involves sharing people's information - so security must be in place to protect that.
