    An additional OCR cut is not expected for a while, and there even could be a hike


    Stats NZ Data shows Food got four-percent more expensive in 2025, while electricity got 12-percent more expensive, and gas rose 17.5 percent.

    ASB Senior Economist Mark Smith, says price rises are a bit more stubborn than previously thought.

    He says it could mean that the goal of achieving two percent inflation could take longer.
