    Police have released the full list pf names of the six people unaccounted for following the landslide at the Mount Maunganui Campground on Thursday

    Police have released the full list pf names of the six people unaccounted for following the landslide at the Mount Maunganui Campground on Thursday


    They are 50-year-old Lisa Anne Maclennan from Morrinsville, 20-year-old Måns Loke Bernhardsson from Sweden, 71-year-old Jacqualine Suzanne Wheeler from Rotorua, 71-year-old Susan Doreen Knowles from Ngongotaha, 15 year-old Sharon Maccanico from Auckland, and 15-year-old Max Furse-Kee from Auckland.

    Crews have been on the scene since the slip happened, with the operation now a recovery instead of a rescue after the discovery of human remains.

    District Commander Superintendent Tim Anderson says tragically, it is now apparent they will not be able to bring them home alive.
