A defence lawyer's suggesting we could be paying jurors more

Open Justice can reveal potential jurors were paid more than seven million dollars in fees and expenses in 2024 - up from 5.69 million two years prior.
The Ministry of Justice can't say how many of these people were selected for a jury.
Barrister John Munro says he's seen a growing resistance to civic duty.
He says we all need to do this, and its sad to see people turning up their nose because they're losing a bit of money from their job, or wasting their time.
