A man has been sentenced to home detention, for selling almost a hundred illegally harvested crayfish on the black market

Quentin Hawkins has four months and two weeks home detention, after pleading guilty to 12 Fisheries Act charges.

The crayfish from near Hastings, at Waimarama -- were sold between December 2018 and March 2019.

One other person has pleaded not guilty to similar fisheries charges, and a third person is yet to enter pleas.
