It's another wet and windy morning in many parts of the country

It's another wet and windy morning in many parts of the country

An orange heavy rain warning is in place for the Kaikoura coast and ranges, and Wairarapa excluding the Tararua District, until 6pm tonight.

The heavy rain is also set to continue in Wellington, where a strong wind warning is in effect.

Fire and Emergency says it's received two minor weather-related call-outs in the Picton and Marlborough areas overnight, and is expecting more call-outs at first light.

Snow warnings are in place for Lewis Pass and Porters Pass, for snow flurries above 900 metres.

Most other parts of the country are also in line for another rainy day.
