All hands on deck to clean up Wanaka

All hands on deck to clean up Wanaka

Great Lake Wanaka Cleanup organisers are encouraging everyone to collect as much waste as possible from the town's lakefront, parks and reserves tomorrow.

Waste will then be dropped into a sculpture made by local artists entirely from building waste and chicken wire.

It will be displayed at the Lake Wanaka Centre during next week's Wao Summit.

Wao Aotearoa co-founder Monique Kelly says displaying the waste helps grow awareness about the amount of local plastic pollution.
