Grocery supplier costs appear to be under control

Grocery supplier costs appear to be under control

Latest figures from Infometrics and Foodstuffs show the prices suppliers are charging supermarkets only rose 2.3 percent in the past 12 months.

Infometrics Principal Economist Brad Olsen says things could be a lot worse.

He says it is slightly higher than consumers may like, but it's certainly an improvement from previous double digit increases.
