Accusations Fire and Emergency's haven't implemented advice, after a life-threatening equipment failure at the recent massive North Shore Recycling Plant inferno

Accusations Fire and Emergency's haven't implemented advice, after a life-threatening equipment failure at the recent massive North Shore Recycling Plant inferno

Two firefighters had to be rescued after their aerial unit broke down above the Wairau Valley fire on Thursday evening.

Professional Firefighters Union Vice President Martin Campbell says Fire and Emergency still hasn't implemented recommendations from the Sky City convention centre fire review.

He says it'd show where it's priorities should be including what trucks it needs to buy, how many it needs and how many should be replaced.

Fire and Emergency say an investigation is underway.
