Former Silver Fern Donna Wilkins has some sympathy for her Mainland Tactix players amid a murky future for the ANZ Premiership competition

Former Silver Fern Donna Wilkins has some sympathy for her Mainland Tactix players amid a murky future for the ANZ Premiership competition

Netball New Zealand is yet to confirm a new TV rights deal beyond this season and is dealing with mounting pressure to relax eligibility rules for Silver Ferns.

The players association has mooted moving the competition so it doesn't clash with Australia's domestic league - allowing athletes to play both.

This wouldn't happen until 2027 at the earliest however, due to the Commonwealth Games next year.

Wilkins says a decision whichever way would be welcome.
