Satisfaction for Liam Lawson to finally convert practice pace into a qualifying result in Formula One

Satisfaction for Liam Lawson to finally convert practice pace into a qualifying result in Formula One

The Kiwi driver has gone sixth fastest in the battle to set the grid for tomorrow's Austrian Grand Prix.

It's not only a seasons-best effort - Lawson was also the fastest of the Red Bull-backed drivers, world champ Max Verstappen one spot back in seventh after a yellow flag hindered his final flying lap.

A near-perfect lap gave Lando Norris pole position - ahead of Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri .
