A 39-year-old Ashburton man's been charged over the hunting death of Jock Davies, on Stewart Island in July

The 21-year-old was out with a hunting party of nine - on the South Lords River hunting block.
He'd survived multiple battles with leukaemia years earlier.
The man will appear in court in three weeks, charged with careless use of a firearm causing death.
