Matt Smith went to eight Oasis shows over the summer

The House of the Dragon star, 43, is a huge fan of the band and he was thrilled when they got back together for their massive Oasis Live '25 Tour - and he made sure he went to as many of the dates as possible.

He told NME: "I went to eight of them! ... I did Cardiff, Wembley, Wembley, Wembley, Wembley, Wembley ... I love Oasis. It was blow-your-ears-off, blow-your-socks-off good.

"What's amazing about that tour is the s*** they've left out. Columbia, She's Electric - and that's not even getting on to the later albums. Bangers. Just when you think [it's slowing down], they go: 'Here's 'Slide Away'."

He added of the Oasis setlist: "Little By Little goes mad! Half The World Away goes f***** off the chain!

"And that's before they've even got to f****** Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova. I just think culturally, as a country, we needed it. When was the last time we all got together and went: 'F****** come on' across different generations?"

Matt went on to admit his favourite gig experience of all time wasn't at the Oasis shows - it was after an Arcade Fire concert in Chicago, Illinois when he was invited to join the band on stage in disguise after spotting their tour bus outside his hotel.

He explained: "I saw Arcade Fire in Chicago with my then girlfriend. We were staying in a hotel and there was this big silver bus outside.

"I was like: 'That's got to be a band.' As luck would have it, this woman came out and said: 'Oh hey, did you used to be in Doctor Who? This is Arcade Fire, do you wanna come and see them? They're doing this thing at the end of the gig where you can put a bobblehead on and be on stage.'

"Obviously, I said yes. It was amazing."

Matt revealed he had so much fun, he ended up changing his travel plans so he could join the band onstage again during their next gig in Toronto, Canada.

He added: "I changed all my plans and drove from Chicago to Toronto and did exactly the same thing at their next gig too."
