A man's turned himself in to Police, following a stabbing in Auckland's Henderson

Officers found a man with serious injuries off Edsel Street before 3 yesterday afternoon.

He's now in a stable condition in Auckland City Hospital.

Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie says someone known to the victim was arrested, after he presented to the front counter of Henderson Police Station last night.

The 45-year old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and he'll be appearing in the Waitakere District Court today.
