    Police have paused a search off the Kapiti Coast, for a missing kayaker

    Police have paused a search off the Kapiti Coast, for a missing kayaker


    The Police Maritime Unit was deployed to the area after a blue kayak was found yesterday about 500m off Raumati Beach.

    A paddle and items of clothing were located within the search area yesterday, but further enquiries have been unsuccessful.

    The search has been paused, and pending any new information about the kayak, or who it might belong to.
