Celine Dion has urged her fans to "take a deep breath" in a Thanksgiving message

The 57-year-old singer - who was diagnosed with the neurological condition stiff-person syndrome in 2022 - has encouraged people to appreciate what they have in a video she posted to Instagram on Thursday (27.11.25).

Celine said: "Dear friends, today is a beautiful reminder to slow down, take a deep breath and give thanks.

"There's something so powerful about gathering with the people you love, whether around the the full table, over the phone, or even just in your heart."

The Think Twice hitmaker expressed her gratitude for her loved ones in the clip.

She said: "I'm so thankful to my family and our moments together that mean the world to me.

"May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, with peace, and with gratitude for everything, even the little things."

Dion concluded: "Happy Thanksgiving, from me and my family, to you and yours."

The My Heart Will Go On songstress had previously thanked her fans for their "unwavering support" as she wished them the best for 2025 at the start of the year.

She wrote in a reflective post on Instagram: "As we wrap up another year together, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support.

"Your love and energy inspire me every day. I wish you all a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones.

"Here's to endless possibilities in the coming year. Wishing you a safe holiday and a fabulous New Year!"

Celine was forced to cancel her Courage World Tour following her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis and her sister Claudette explained that the illness means that the singer "doesn't have control over her muscles" at times.

She told Canadian publication 7 Jours: "There are some who have lost hope because it is a disease that is not (very well) known.

"What pains me is that she has always been disciplined. She's always worked hard. Our mother always told her, 'You're going to do it well, you're going to do it properly.'"

Dion had previously made a surprise return to the spotlight at the Grammy Awards in 2024, where she presented the Album of the Year award at the end of the ceremony.

She said: "Thank you all. I love you right back. When I say that I'm happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart. Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world."
