A convicted murderer will remain behind bars after confronting Otago Corrections officers with a knife

A convicted murderer will remain behind bars after confronting Otago Corrections officers with a knife

Andrew Peter McGlynn, jailed for murder in 1986, has been recalled to prison eight times - the most of any killer in the country according to the ODT.

The Parole Board has again declined his release after two unprovoked incidents at Otago Corrections Facility, including holding a knife and challenging staff to a fight in September.

McGlynn remains a high-security prisoner until his next review in March.
