    Skier Corey Peters has secured a second-place finish at the opening round of the Para Alpine Downhill World Cup season in Italy


    It was the four-time Paralympic medalist's first downhill race since he claimed gold in the event at the 2022 Games in Beijing.

    Peters was just five-hundredths of a second behind the winner, Norway's Jesper Pedersen.

    The World Cup round in Santa Caterina is a double-header, with Peters set to race again in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
