New Zealand Cricket admits the women's domestic system needs change in order to adequately prepare athletes for international cricket

The White Ferns have departed from their white ball tour of England after eight losses from eight games, with the governing body citing inexperience as a key reason for their struggles.

National high performance manager Bryan Stronach says Aotearoa's domestic competition will work differently to overseas leagues, but that's no excuse not to catch up.

Stronach's been asked whether the system is preparing youngsters for the international game.
