Day three of jury deliberations, in the trial of a Dunedin teen accused of murdering another boy at the city's bus hub
17 March 2025
The 14-year-old boy is in court for the death of 16-year-old Enere Taana-McLaren last May.
He's pleading self defence.
The jury is in the process of deciding whether to convict the boy of murder, or manslaughter.
The Crown says the accused deliberately attacked the victim with a knife.
But the Defence wants the jury to consider the boy's trauma, and attempts to protect himself.
