    Health New Zealand has released footage of a fire that broke out in the Whangarei Hospital car park last week to quell speculation


    The fire saw almost 30 cars damaged.

    Health New Zealand says the footage shows the fire was started by accident after a diesel vehicle parked over some dry vegetation.

    Maintenance work has also been carried out to help prevent similar incidents happening in future.
