    State Highway 1 has reopened on the eastern side of Lake Taupo between the intersection with SH41 and the intersection with Lake Terrace

    State Highway 1 has reopened on the eastern side of Lake Taupo between the intersection with SH41 and the intersection with Lake Terrace


    Traffic was being diverted most of the afternoon along the western side of Lake Taupo.

    This was the result of a fatal crash early this afternoon.
