    Ashleigh Barty has captured her first WTA title on Australian soil


    The world number one has emphatically won the Adelaide International final, downing Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska 6-2, 7-5 in an ideal preparation for her home Grand Slam, the Australian Open.

    The Melbourne tournament gets underway tomorrow.
