No further community spread of Covid-19 has been found in Upper Hauraki

No further community spread of Covid-19 has been found in Upper Hauraki

There are 15 new community cases today...all in Auckland.

Most of the cases are household contacts, and three are unlinked.

One result is pending from Waikato's Mangatangi School, with all other teachers and students returning a negative result.

Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says it seems the cases are contained to the one household.

He says they have reassurance from a significant level of testing and wastewater checks, that there is no spread.

Bloomfield says this means a Section 70 notice for people outside the area, but who visited between September 8 and 20, can be lifted.

Alert Level Three restrictions are still in place for the region..but will be reviewed this afternoon.
