    Olympic rower Mahe Drysdale has strengthened his lead in Tauranga's Mayoral race

    Olympic rower Mahe Drysdale has strengthened his lead in Tauranga's Mayoral race


    He now has a-just-under 6,000 vote majority with only the specials left to count.

    The final results, which will include the specials, will be released next week.

    Mr Drysdale and nine Tauranga City councillors will be sworn in on August 2.
