    A freed-up swing has fuelled Ryan Fox's strong start at golf's PGA Championship in North Carolina


    Just four days removed from his first PGA Tour triumph, the Kiwi's fired a four-under-par 67 to be three shots back in a tie for fourth after round one of the second men's major of 2025.

    Fox says he simply picked his targets and trusted that he's playing well.



    Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas leads at seven-under after shooting a 64.

    Meanwhile, Waikato veteran Steve Alker has also started strongly at the Regions Tradition tournament, the first senior major of 2025 on the PGA Champions Tour.

    Alker's carded a seven-under 65 at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama.
