A judge has blasted police, and slapped them with a four thousand dollar bill, after they dropped 30 charges against two alleged taggers

A judge has blasted police, and slapped them with a four thousand dollar bill, after they dropped 30 charges against two alleged taggers

The ODT reports the alleged taggers appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday, where police offered no evidence on the 15 charges each faced.

The Judge literally asked the police 'what the heck' is going on, and asked if police are making a habit of charging people 'willy-nilly'.

He dismissed all charges and ordered the police cover court costs of 147-dollars on all 30 charges - making a total of four-thousand-410-dollars.
