    A Police officer was allegedly assaulted at Christchurch Airport early this morning and rushed to hospital


    Police say the Officer approached two people behaving in a disorderly manner at the airport before 2am, when one of the people allegedly assaulted the officer and he was transported to hospital by ambulance.

    A 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman are due to appear in Christchurch District Court today with various charges.
