Police investigating the death of a man in a home invasion in Waikanae, have arrested six men, charging five with murder

Michael Tofts died on Kakariki Grove on November 19.

Police say several attackers were also injured in the invasion, and a firearm was used.

That gun is yet to be recovered.

They're still appealing for information from the public, including about several vehicles that travelled to and from the property.

The five men are aged between 23 and 43, and are due to appear in the High Court at Wellington on January 23.

A sixth man is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
