    The number of coaches fired during the course of the current season in American football's NFL is up to eight

    The Miami Dolphins have sacked Mike McDaniel after four seasons in charge.

    He becomes the sixth NFL head coach to lose his job since the regular season ended on January 4th.

    Miami finished with a seven and 10 record, their worst performance since they finished the 2019 season with only five wins.
