Jean Smart joked she is a "greedy b****" after winning her third Golden Globe Award for Hacks on Sunday (11.01.26)

The 74-year-old actress scooped the Best Female Actor - Comedy or Musical accolade for the second year in a row and poked fun at her winning streak as soon as she took to the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

She quipped: "What can I say, I'm a greedy b****.

"Thank you to the Golden Globes, I'm absolutely thrilled to be here. I'm one of the luckiest people in - not this room - but the entire business, and it does not go unappreciated...

"I'm just surrounded by so much support and this show has been an incredible journey.

Jean - who beat off competition from Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) and Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) to take the prize - was one of a number of stars wearing a Be Good badge in honour of Renee Good, who was killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis last week, but kept her message about the incident simple.

She said: "There is a lot that could be said tonight, I said my rant on the red carpet so I won't do it here.

"I think everybody in their hearts knows what the right thing to do is, so let's do the right thing."

Elsewhere, the Best Female Actor - Drama award went to Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn.

The 53-year-old star admitted she was "a little shocked" to take the prize ahead of fellow nominees Kathy Bates (Matlock), Britt Lower (Severance), Dame Helen Mirren (Mobland), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us) and Keri Russell (The Diplomat).

Her hands were shaking and she was emotional as she said: "My speech says, 'Get a prescription for beta blockers,' but I did not. Sorry! I'm going to do my best.

"I'm sorry, I am just a little shocked!"

Rhea went on to thank Pluribus creator Vince Gilligan - who she previously worked with on Better Call Saul - for "writing me the role of a lifetime", and the cast and crew of the show.

She added: "It takes an entire village, so thank you to my beautiful village."
