Moana Pasifika have been forced to scrap a home game in Tonga for a second straight year
23 February 2026
The Super Rugby side had planned to play the Chiefs in Nuku'alofa in round nine but have abandoned the plans due to a lack of funding and sponsorship.
Moana Pasifika had wanted to play in Tonga last year, but delays to installing of floodlights forced the game to be switched to Pukekohe.
The search is now on for an alternative venue for the round nine match in April.
