The women of Air New Zealand will take charge at Queenstown Airport today to mark International Women's Day

The women of Air New Zealand will take charge at Queenstown Airport today to mark International Women's Day

Flight NZ611 from Auckland will arrive in Queenstown at 8.35 this morning, operated by all-female pilots and cabin crew.

Dozens more women will work the wider airport operation in key roles from flight planning to air traffic control.

Air New Zealand says females are underrepresented in many aviation roles and make up just under nine percent of the pilot workforce at the airline
