The Chiefs have won a nail-biting Super Rugby Aotearoa clash, and it's Damian McKenzie who's again come to the fore

The Waikato franchise has edged the Hurricanes 26-24 in Hamilton for their fifth consecutive win of the competition.

Receiving a penalty after the siren sounded, McKenzie stepped up to kick the match-winner from 45 metres out.

It puts the Chiefs five points ahead of the third-placed Blues on the table.

The New Zealand Breakers' comeback has fallen short, going down to the Cairns Taipans 70-68 in their Australian NBL game in Tasmania.

The Breakers were down by 12 heading into the final period before coming back to take the lead late on, only to concede a dagger three-pointer with 10 seconds to play.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have reigned supreme in an entertaining NRL clash with the Titans on the Gold Coast.

The Bunnies have won 40-30, coming back from a 24-10 deficit at the break.

The Parramatta Eels have trounced the Brisbane Broncos 46-6 in Darwin.

Manchester United legend and Welsh football manager Ryan Giggs has been charged with assaulting two women, and controlling or coercive behaviour.

The Football Association of Wales subsequently confirmed Giggs would not be leading their men's team at the delayed Euro 2020.
