Mama June Shannon doesn't think her late daughter is "at peace" yet

The 44-year-old reality star lost her daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell to cancer towards the end of last year but doesn't think she will truly be "at rest" until she has managed to get full custody of her granddaughter Kaitlyn and won her battle with Anna's former partner Michael Cardwell.

Speaking in an upcoming episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis', she said: "Watching us spread Anna in the ocean in very emotional for me. It's kind of hard, do I think Anna is at peace and at rest now? No. Anna won't be able to rest and be in peace until this court case is over with Kaitlyn."

The reality TV family - who had initially thought to have made plans to take Anna's remains to Disney World - ultimately decided to take Anna's ashes to the ocean because of how she "loved being in the water", according to her little sister Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson.

She said: "I honestly don't think the dolphins coming by was a coincidence at all. She always loved being in the water, so I just knew when we sprinkled her ashes and then dolphins come? That was Anna a 100 percent. Anna did that."

Mama June was initially awarded temporary custody of Kaitlyn and admitted just weeks ago that she was is "hoping" to move out of the house where Anna died.

She told People: "We're hoping to be able to move soon because Anna passed away in our home, and for me and Justin and Kaitlyn it's just a constant remembering. This is where everything happened."

The 'From Not to Hot' star added that she and her family are "living in a constant nightmare" following the passing of her daughter and wondered when exactly it is all going to be over for her.

She said: "We are living in a constant nightmare, but for me, for the last six months, it's been a struggle. I got emotional earlier today. It is just really, am I going to wake up from this nightmare?"
