Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has retired from one-day international cricket to focus on next year's T20 World Cup

Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has retired from one-day international cricket to focus on next year's T20 World Cup

The player known as "The Big Show" made almost four thousand ODI runs at a brisk strike-rate of 126.

He also played what many believe is the greatest one-day innings of all time - battling severe cramp to smack 201 off just 128 balls to save Aussie from being beaten by Afghanistan at the 2023 World Cup.

Team mate Josh Inglis says Maxwell has been a pioneering freak.
