Denise Richards is thankful for her "great support system" amid her divorce from Aaron Phypers

The 54-year-old actress split from her husband in July after six years of marriage and she was granted a five-year restraining order against him earlier this month, but she is doing "good" as she works to get her life back on track.

Appearing on the Bravo2Bravo panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Sunday (16.11.25), she said: "It's a process. I have such a great support system. Thank you so much."

The Starship Troopers actress admitted that the media attention she receives is "very daunting" but believes the scrutiny from "being in the tabloids" is different to opening up on a reality show.

She said: "When you first have to deal with it, it's very hard... it's different because on the reality shows, our personal life is out there.

"On reality, you can't pretend it's not happening."

Denise was granted a restraining order against Aaron amid allegations of domestic abuse.

Under the terms of the order, the 53-year-old businessman is faced with a string of restrictions with things he is forbidden from doing including owning or buying guns, abusing his estranged wife, disturbing her peace or being in contact with her.

If the former couple do have to communicate, Denise is allowed to record their conversations.

Aaron was ordered to return a laptop to the World is Not Enough actress, as well as videos of her surgeries, which he must delete from all his devices and iCloud account.

He also cannot share photos of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star or provide information about her to the media.

In a hearing abut her restraining order application in October, Denise - who has daughters Sami, 21, and 20-year-old Lola with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and 14-year-old Eloise, who she adopted as a baby - alleged Aaron had "caused at least three concussions", which she discovered after he used equipment at his clinic various times after she complained of headaches, nausea and "not feeling good".

She alleged one came when she had a black eye in January 2022, another was when Aaron allegedly "slammed me up against the concrete wall and my head hit it" while in the carport at the wellness centre somewhere between March and May of that year, and the third allegedly came in April 2025, when she accused her estranged spouse of having "squeezed" her head "so hard" at a Chicago hotel.

The World is Not Enough actress accused Aaron of having "often [threatened] to throw me through the windows and off balconies" of hotels.

She tearfully added: "He's almost killed me so many damn times."

    The businessman denied her allegations.

He said in his own testimony: "I never physically harmed Denise Richards... I never threatened to harm her... I did not threaten to kill anybody...

"A lot of people like to be close to the stars. They'll do things for them."
